Come to the SECARS Winter Field Day!

Come One, Come All.
Once again, we will be having Winter Field Day at the Uncasville Red Cross, starting around 10:00 AM 1/24.  The official start is 11:00 eastern, and WFD ends at 5:00 PM Sunday.  The ARES Mobile Communication Unit (MCU4) is expected to be there, and will be operating on generator power.  In addition, the Red Cross HF station will be available.  I will have the club’s IC-7300 & band pass filters, and probably my FTDX-10 available.  Points can be earned by sending & receiving a Winlink message, and I can do it with my rig.
Anyone who wishes to operate, or bring their setup & operate, please let me know.  Drop-ins will also be welcomed.  The main issue with the site is where to set up antennas. The building is surrounded by a parking lot, and the businesses do have some traffic, so we can’t run wires on the ground (except in the grassy area).
We need CW & Digital operators (packet/RTTY)!  If you stop in and make a contact, we get the multiplier!!
Logging will be using N2FJP- the club has a license – and the club’s W1QV call sign, so if you bring a laptop, we can load the program (or you could preload it). Go to N3FJP.com & it’s under Contest Logs/Other Contest Logs. https://www.n3fjp.com/programs/WINTERFIELDDAY.exe
If you know someone who might be interested in Amateur Radio, I’m sure someone will be willing to act as ‘control operator’ so that they can try and make some contacts.
Suggestions are welcome.  If you plan on operating, please sign up using the form below.
73 and see you there!
